FAQ
Stains under the arms are usually caused by the reaction between sweat and one's deodorant. Most deodorants contain aluminum, which over time can cause yellow stains on the fabric.
We recommend using an aluminum-free deodorant or a deodorant with minimal aluminum content.
To remove these stains, you can mix equal parts dish soap (without color) and citric acid (available at larger supermarkets). Add a little cold water, apply the mixture, and let it sit on the stain for about 20 minutes. Then rinse with cold water and wash the shirt according to the care instructions on the label inside the shirt.
If your shirt has become yellowish, we recommend a mixture of citric acid and soda to make it white again.
Follow these four steps:
1. Fill 5 liters of water in a basin and add up to 1/2 dl of citric acid.
2. Let the shirt soak for about 30 minutes and then wring it out well.
3. Fill 5 liters of water in the basin and add 1.5 dl of soda. Wait 20-30 minutes.
4. Rinse and then wash the shirt according to the washing instructions as usual.
We generally do not recommend using dry cleaning due to the environmental impact (though this does not apply to all dry cleaners).
If necessary, ask your dry cleaner to use a light form of pressing and to avoid using starch.
Avoid pressing the shirt collar, cuffs, and placket in particular, as you risk breaking the buttons.
